The first shader icon on the list. I right click, select import and then crash.

were the features from the latest version of standalone added in this update as well? or is it only the updates you listed on the first page?
Intel i7-3930K, 64gb RAM, Asus X79 Deluxe mobo, 2x EVGA 780 6gb (for rendering), 1x PNY quaddro k4000 (for display)
Windows 8.1 x64, Maya 2014, Octane Render v2
Windows 8.1 x64, Maya 2014, Octane Render v2
If this is not the place to ask please feel free to point out where I should post this.
Feature request:
Would it be possible to send all the camera's to the GPU and somehow add a camera selector? We often work on the shading and lighting of multiple shot's at the same time. Right now it's necessary to re-start the render every time we want to see how it looks in a different shot. With 5 min of translations before the render starts it's really killing production speed.

That is a really great idea and would be a fantastic tool if it were possible. What do you think JimStar?Wenneker wrote:Would it be possible to send all the camera's to the GPU and somehow add a camera selector? I suspect that the Octane engine may only accept one camera per render target though and although the above workflow would be ideal as an alternative you could poll all the cameras in your scene via a script and save each cameras settings and animation (perhaps as clips) and then have a little UI to let you swap these out on the one render camera that has been loaded with the scene. Obviously requires some scripting but I think it would work.

The crash happens when importing first shader:JimStar wrote:Works OK for me. How to reproduce?prodviz wrote:Maya is crashing when using the new shelf button and then importing.
Can we also have this window as a floating pallet, rather than one that gets sent behind Maya when clicking on the Maya window?
cheers.
