Hey guys, I had this happen twice in a row and I'm hoping it isn't a GPU issue since I'm on a mac and it's hard to replace them.

my render was taking 1 minute 20 seconds per frame and then just stopped on a frame and stayed there. Kind of like it was hanging, for 16 hours. My GPU's memory or processor were at 5-10% numbers (i use istat) and i had to start the render again from that frame, which rendered normally. The render kind of just timed out.

i can't see any good info here. Do you using info render passes in rendering?

I'm rendering only a beauty pass and an object id pass.

Here's my Octane log, it seemed to do it again just now. Says it can't read preset file at the bottom of this post.

let me know what says on info line as here? There is a problem with progress detection on render passes. Also please don't post bugs on seperate threads, keep them on version topics for next time. thanks

Ok my mistake. I don't know what you mean by "Info Line"

Same problem is happened to me. Changed DL kernel settings (rayepsilon and path term power) and it went back to render normally. I'm currently with a tight deadline so I had no time to search for the the issue. If it was actually kernel settings.

Thanks man, I just screwed around with the passes i was rendering out and it stopped. It sometimes hung on frame 1, or 5 or 10... kind of a pain until i got it working.
