Are there a few nodes missing we have access to in the standalone (or maybe I can't find them)?

I'd like to use the noise generator, that provides perlin noise etc. Same for the color correction node I can't find in Blender. The Gradient node seems to be more powerful in standalone (with the ability to set these extra positions) etc?

Not sure if this is a limitation of Blender or an overlook.

PS: Is it possible to name the nodes exactly the same as in the standalone? I.e. Greyscale color instead of float texture?

Color Correction is here:
output_bGToxU_.gif
But there is a little Bug.
As you can see, the left Node goes into "Invert" by default insteat to "Texture".

To place "Color Correction" under "Octance Texture" makes no sence, because it's not a Texture, it's a "Modifier".
I suggest to add another Section called "Octane Modifiers" and to place there "Color Correction", "Displacement", "Random Color", etc.

I also warmly suggest to NOT modify Captions of the Nodes, they have to be called exactly the same in Octane Standalone and all Plugins for other Software.

Else you create unnecessary confusion insteat of enlightenment ;-)

Kind regards
Alain

Hello,
I am trying to render an animation in Blender with the Octane plug in, and I get errors. It renders the 1st frame and then at the 2nd I get these:
Octane: ERROR loading mesh. Server response:
Invalid image type 0 for node type NT_TEX_FLOATIMAGE
..... the above is repeated many times..............
At the next frame I get the same repeating thing but at the beginnig it sais:
Octane: ERROR loading environment. Server response:
Invalid image type 0 for node type NT_TEX_FLOATIMAGE
Also in the end it sais:
Error loading render passes. (Even though I am rendering with render passes disabled)
Error loading Kernel.
Error starting Render.

I am confused! Could someone help me with this?
Thank you in advance for your time!
Stelios

Thanks! I somehow missed that. But the noise generator node is totally missing, not? I guess it was forgotten :)

Hello JimStar, adding imager presets seems to be broken - take a look at the screenshots:

What's the difference between "Image Texture" and "Float Texture", isn't it the same ?

See here:

You should refer to the Manual — thy are RGB and Greyscale images.

for viewport camera, f-stop setting hasn't been removed.

Why to make a diffenrence between color and grayscale Images ? Do grayscale Image not use less memory be default ?
Or woudn't it make more sence to "autodetect" a grayscale image ?

Yes, hard to automatize, nobody knows if you need a image for bumpmap (Float) or diffuse (Image).
