Ok, I'll wait for the new release then, it's just strange that this does not occur until I activate and use Octane in a scene :)

Yes that's true, it's just annoying that the message pops out all the time, is that message actually necessary and if so, could it be only at status bar, then it wouldn't bother? :)

But do you think I should send the scene to you to investigate?

Yes I can but actually I found out the cause.
I did the test using Layout Modeler Tools to create a cube but did not check the 'save object'. Then I loaded the scene and of course the cube was not there so I added it again, this time with 'save object' checked. But the missing object was there as Null and that caused the crash. When I loaded the scene and deleted the Null, it worked fine.
The only strange thing is that if I now add a simple Null, it won't crash so the Null made by LW not finding an object is the cause.

But just in case you want to check it, here it is as attachment :)

That update just arrived and I installed it but it did not change this behaviour...still if I set 'eye' on in FiberFX, Layout crashes just after loading the scene.
Also the cube test above behaves exactly the same as before.
I also noticed that if IPR is open and I turn off the FiberFX for a surface (click the little dot to turn it off it in FiberFX), Layout crashes immediately. If I 'switch to LW' in Octane menu, that does not happen in VPR.

Could these still be Octane problems and not LW itself? :)

One more little purely Octane issue: if the 'eye' is off, IPR does not update the geometry even though that option is on in Octane, it needs reload. If the 'eye' is on, IPR updates when FiberFX values are changed.

I have not played with FiberFX until now, that's why I haven't noticed these before :)

Hello Juanjo I need your help,

First off thanks so much for all you've done for the lightwave octane integration. Second, I need help I am having issues with my Fiberfx render. I am using guides to drive fiberfx hair style and i get these weird polygons showing up throughout the fiberfx flow as a render it in octane. Please advise thanks!

Weird, I never have seen this problem before. What version of the plugin and LightWave are you using?

Can you send me a scene to reproduce this problem?

EUREKA

I do not know if this is the standard process but i figured out how to fix it, apparently when using guides for fiberfx, the octaneobject property setting on the guides have to be activated aswell ( like if you were using 2 point poly chains for fibermesh in the pre-lightwave 2015 hair process) once both are activated the octane fiberfx with guides process works.
