If I use a mirror material can I control the number of reflections in the other mirrors?
In the attached image the secondary reflections are black: can I avoid that?
thanx in advance

Hi Mac,
Which kernel did you use? DL is not so good for specular materials. If you used pathtracing or PMC in your example, I can't help but if you post that question under the general forum you're likely to get a quicker response. Let us know which kernel you used either way.
Best,
Seeker

Mac,
There might be some tweaks you could do with dome settings but I won't be surprised if you're stuck with that result on DL. Better results with PT anyway and recent speed improvements makes it a much more viable option.

Hi macchiorlatti,
If you're still having the issue, could you please tell which Octane4SU version are you using?
Also could you please export the scene to .ocs/.orbx and open it in Standalone?
There is a chance that one of the controllers in DL kernel is broken (specular/glossy bounces). Try tweaking then in the Standalone and see what happens.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Fuzzy

my octane4SU version is 0.13.82
and works pretty well, octane is a new render software for me...
thanks

You might want to try the most recent one which is 0.13.87 (there are couple of tiny fixes).
But anyway.. have you managed to figure out the issue with reflections?
Cheers

hi FUZZ,
I,ve installed "octane_sketchup_0.13.87_2014_x86", but the "about" rollout says 0.13.82 , I've checked the "repair" button, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong: I'm new with Windows 8.1.
The reflection issues are solved also In DL mode
thanx
