I upgraded from some older GTX 580, and GTX 680s (For sale if anyone is interested...PM me)

I run an older Quadro FX 5800 that used to run my monitors off. I want to switch the monitor duty to an installed standard titan.

I currently have 3 z's, a standard titan and the Quadro FX 5800 in my box.

All the monitors are plugged into the standard Z which runs fine... but when I take the Quadro out even though nothing is plugged into the system will not boot up.

If I place it back up into " (one particular PCI slot) up comes the system. How do I tell the system to ignore it?

Thanks for any tips

Peter

Did you check in bios your PCI express settings ?

What is this strange magic you speak of. Are you wizards?? :o

When booting up in the bio screen what the heck am I looking for... its all blue ;)

Sorry for being light hearted... but I am concerned that I might turn it off and then turn on another that is the wrong one.

How will I know what is the Titan Z or standard Titan?

If I find a Primary Video Controller/Adapter. Do I get to choose which one is the main "output"

Any non magic ideas welcome

My fault. I'll try to be more precise:

I had similar issue when I added a gtx titan to 3x780s. What worked for me was changing settings in bios - the primary display to PCI x16 (from auto) and connected all monitors to a graphics card that is closest to a cpu. Then I had to reinstall nvidia driver.

I also noticed that the primary display had to be connected via DVI cable (I had some issues with display port).
