Hey everybody,
it seems as if the displacement is not working anymore on my workstation.
I have no clue why.
I opened a new scene and set renderer to Octane.
In the material editor I create a new simple white diffuse material.
I set a displacement node with a greyscale Map in it. But it does not show me any displacement. I set the value from 0.01 to 5.0 without any changes.
Any hints, what I might be doing wrong? I used it last time some months ago and it was working back then.
I am using Max 2015 with the newest Max-plugin.

Did you apply a mapping? Like UVWMap.

Yes, mapping is applied - the diffuse texture looks good with the same UVs.
I remember that it worked before and I could see the displacement on the small material preview spheres. Now it isn't visible there either.
I tried values from 0.001 to 1000.0 without any visual effect.

I agree, the displacement nodes aren't working anymore with the new version. Can't get noise or turbulence working right anymore. It used to work, but now its broken.
