Hey I have a PCI-e 16 to 16 extender's it not powered by a molex connector though (It has no power)


I have a another powered 1x to 16 extender that is powered

I realize I may have to get the one you use... but do you think one of the other ones MIGHT work with this extender box?

Or you can create a molex to barrel and go straight to the AKiTiO, that way you don't have to use a PCI Riser.

It looks like I would have to role back from Yosemite to Mavericks as the moded wed Driver for nvidia is ONLY mavericks 10.93 and 10.94

I'll work on that and see how it goes. I am not sure how much that will effect all the apps I have now so I am hesitant to do that just yet.

But I will get there eventually.

You sent a link showing how you can turn a molex into a barrel to charge the PCI slot ... why not use the barrel that comes with the Extender?

Is there a reason not to? Is it not powerful enough etc?

You can try this for Yosemite. They show how to edit the web installer files so that you can install the drivers on a macbook pro:
