Hi,
well the title tells it all..made a test to show the problem
i think the difference is pretty obvious..
(render crop at 100%)
Octane 2.14
Render settings: PT, 6000 samples, filter size 1, aperture 0, other settings at default
octane renders not sharp, even with filter size at 1.0??

well, i just discovered it is a rhino plugin problem, as making the test with standalone gives crisp results..
will ask paul when he has some free time to look into it
thanks anyway

Can you email me the rhino scene pls - and I will take a look. If you export from the Rhino plugin to Standalone via ORBX, they should render identically. Also, is you save the Rhino viewport image, does it look like the Standalone version or still not sharp?

hi paul,
here you are a screenshot of viewports; the way i see it there is a progressive degradation
original texture > octane standalone > octane for rhino
how do you export a whole scene to orbx? (i thought only possible for materials)

to me it looks like a degradation in sharpness. scene only lit by an hdri. will test other setups..
Pls see the manual for details on how to export the OctaneRender for Rhino scene to Octane Standalone. http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Rhino/?page_id=31. Both Rhino Octane Viewport and Standalone Viewport should render identically when doing this. Your texturemap should appear exactly the same in both.how do you export a whole scene to orbx?
