hi guys, just bought the plug and I am staring down the shaders' channels. i can't seem to find how to apply a simple, 100% luminant animated texture (PNG sequence) that uses the images' alpha channel...

usually i just put my image in luminance and then put that same one in the alpha channel using the standard renderer :|

i'm sure i simply missed something :?

Welcome here,
i have prepared a sample for you. Let me know if you need more help. Material uses same image sequence on texture emission and opacity. Check it on LV.

i'm sorry but i can't figure out how to link the refshader to the imagetexture... tried opening two windows and clicking, tried dragging, but no success

by the way, if my image sequence isn't in black and white, can it use the PNGs' alpha channel or do i have to make a separate black and white sequence?

thanks again, sorry but i'm new :S

You can drag as in image. Also you can use alpha with changing the "Type" parameter to alpha. You may need to create a second imagetexture accordingly to your image's content.
