not sure if I'm doing something wrong here.
The "Random Color"-Node does not render in LiveViewer.
(also not in newest octane version)
I need an animated checker-texture in luminance/emission channel
and thought, thats the way to go.

the manual says: the RandomColor Node "can" be put in a gradient f.e.
but when I animate the seed the whole plane is flickering.
But I want get a "checker" which changes randomly the colors.
The C4D Cell-Noise does not work here, because I need it illuminated.
Any idear?

seed is a seed as written. randomcolor generates a value between 0-1. And it works with renderinstances or octane gradient node. you are on wrong direction for texturing. Check image of gradient node in manual
