Network rendering DOES work as expected but we are getting and error in the daemon console continually looking for the IP address of a computer with no daemon installed (previously uninstalled).

Sorry if this is confusing. Please ask questions for clarification.

looks like your master/daemon have different versions. You need to reinstall the new daemon version everytime you upgrade Octane

The computer whose IP is listed in the error does not have a Render Daemon installed (it was removed). So I am confused why other slaves are looking at it as the master?

Any thoughts?

I don't think you need the daemon installed to be a master.
or maybe I am misunderstanding you.

The master that has the problem, is it connected to any computers in the network panel?

What you see here is that some older or newer master is trying to contact your daemon. With the next release these error messages will be hidden and only shown when the "daemon" log flag is enabled.

Of course, daemon, slave and master need to be of the same version everywhere in the network, to make network rendering work.

I figured there was some remnant hanging around mucking things up. Good to know it will be fixed!

Thanks abstrax
