I'm currently a student, and we started learning about animation in Maya this week. The coming week we'll be learning more, and then we'll have a week for an assignment with a deadline in three weeks.

I couldn't resist digging deeper into the animation and rigging in Maya, so I kept playing around, watch a couple of tutorials to get me going with a simple stretch and squash.. During the period of the last few days I have also investigated on how to bring the animation over to LightWave. Animation cache and a plugin was the solution, and I'm very happy to have recently purchased Octane. It's opened for a new workflow for a fast turnaround to get just the look I want.

350 samples seemed to be enough for this simple setup, so it rendered quite fast. A total of 940 frames were rendered this afternoon. Then I spent some time with the sounds. I'm planning to animate a couple of seconds in the end, to have them jump/roll out of frame. Hope you like it.

Very cute, thanks for sharing. The exaggerated movements added to the believability of the interaction between your two characters. Notice I said characters not objects since your subtle movement brought life and personality to them. Keep up the great work.
