Yes, unfortunately, it does seem better in wireframe mode, but it still doesn't fix things you can see that the small lumps and breaks in the mesh

Chopper, when you first reported the problem, I found a glitch in the plugin, which I fixed, which improved but did not completely fix the issue (as you now see in your render above). So I escalated to Smith Micro who are looking at it.
