Version 2.10.0 - TEST1 - fixed (01.10.14)
Moderators: ChrisHekman, aoktar
Hi Ahmed,
just to let you know - experienced a wrong behavior in NG:
If copied a Mix-Material via CTRL-Drag and changed settings in the new mat via NG the source mat gets overwritten and vice versa.
Regards - Ron
Edit: It is displaying all materials (mix + mat_1 + mat_2) in NG but actually only copying the mix-mat which is still referencing the original mat 1+2.
That's why it gets overwritten.

You should create a "Displacement" node and put any texture in their slot. But displacement will work only image based textures.ello wrote:today i upgraded to 2.x displacement doesn't seem to work. i can't attach a shader to that channel

we should live with this. C4D does not support material linkingRon wrote:Hi Ahmed,

Attached is a super stripped scene with a material I cannot use displacement with. Take a look.
Thanks

I posted the scene file for the displacement issue. The problem I'm having with the object tag is that it's just not updating on a fairly heavy scene. Anyone else?aoktar wrote:Can you give me a sample? I have checked that's working. Anyone else?ASyme1 wrote:Hi Ahmet-
Really liking this new version. Very sweet. Couple things. The displacement doesn't seem to be working and the object tag doesn't work either. Can you check these? I'm using these a lot.
Thanks!

Hi, version 2.10 is awesome.
Multipass is good but it can be improved.
Created chekbox in render options (where you choose to use multipass) so that each multipass could save files in separate folders.Folders should have names of multipasses.

Naturally I tried loading an image. I get nothing. I can't load an image texture or just load an image. It just doesn't work.

couldn't describe well in image? Create a "Displacement" node. Then create a image in this nodeASyme1 wrote:aoktar wrote:Description is on image. regarding the objectag, what kind of object is that?ASyme1 wrote: I posted the scene file for the displacement issue.
