The OSX version of OctaneRender™ for Blender plugin, 64-bit.

The bundle consists from two parts:
1. OctaneRender™ Server
2. Blender - OctaneRender™ edition.

The first part (server) should be run on the same computer as the second one..
After the server is run - you can start rendering (or open a rendered view) from inside Blender. Before the very first rendering you should fill in the server address (only 127.0.0.1 at the time), login and password (your license key info) to activate the server. After the first rendering the server will remember this activation info, and you will not need to enter it again.

You should use only OctaneRender materials inside Blender scenes - the plugin knows nothing about Blender specific materials and textures (about any Blender nodes, generally speaking).

FIXES AND NEW FEATURES SINCE LAST RELEASE
  • Fixed bug: crash on Linux during changing of some material attributes.
  • Fixed bug: wrong dispersion coefficient loaded into server from Specular material.

Installation:
- Just run autoinstaller file.

All is OK. You are doing something wrong.

Be sure you have no blender.app or OctaneServer.app stored somewhere on disk (in locations other than standard "/Applications") when installing. OSX installer will see them as "already installed" during installation.

Done. The problem is version mismatch but the two previuos versions worked well. I have some other blender build in different folders. After i moved them and reinstall your version Octane Blender working. Thanks for the info. Maybe put your version into a Blender Octane folder like on Windows? I think not i'am the only one who use several Blender versions because of the lack of addon updates and recent Python API changes.

If the emoticons means you dont know what i want to say: common method to solve app errors move/delete peruser preferences from library.

If you have the Mac applications being installed, additionally stored in different folders among the OSX computer - "Just run autoinstaller file" is not for you. It's for Mac users, who want to "just install" and does not store the application files manually outside the standard /Applications folder.
That's how standard OSX package installer works.

Yep, but all other Blender versions are in subfolders in /Applications the only one Blender app in /Applications is your build. It works now but a bit weird why this version not workes as the two previous. Anyway thanks for your hard work.

The installer package was not changed from previous version, except just welcome text and license text were added.
One of packages being installed by the installer - the Octane-Blender app is the same named blob with the same attributes as native Blender release, as it is built from the same Blender sources.
OSX standard installer may behave not how you are expecting in your case (if you already have the same blobs in different place on the computer), as before installation it scans the computer for the same blobs as those being installed...
