Hey all,

Just wondering if there is a way to turn on full motion blur on everything without having to add an object tag to each object in the scene? Is this possible?

Thanks,

Hi,
i think that you are meaning to get transform+vertex motionblur on objects. right? Object motion blur requires a "transform node" for each objects. Transform node provides PSR for defining the transform values of objects.

if you don't put a objecttag, so you can't get transform motion blur. These objects will be exported to a single mesh. this is very similar to connect meshes.

ATM, we don't have a auto method to do this for you. Also I don't advice to activate vertex mblur option for unnecessary objects. Just a info.

I may be speaking out of turn here, but putting everything (in a very simple scene) under a null, and then applying the Octane object tag to the null solved it for me.

One other issue maybe you could look at... not sure if it's a bug or not.

I'm trying to use motion blur with a symmetry object but it seems to screw up the motion blur... You can see on the left 'smasher thing' when it comes down (around frame 27), it looks a bit messed up. Any way around this besides not using symmetry?

Thanks much in advance!! :)

no need to check your file. There is a bug which comes from c4d. Symetry objects cannot give correct keys throught past keyframe calculations. This seems fixed on R16.
