Has anyone noticed your GPUS throttling back when using the region render?
Mine drop back quite a bit when 3 sides of the region box touch the actual sides of the image.
Pull one side in (say 5% of image width) so it is only touching 2 sides and they run at full speed again. I wonder if this has anything to do with the feather edge that appears around the region?

I'm in the middle of a large render, so will check to see if this happens on other renders later.

I've noticed the same. The progress bar moves at normal speed but the ms/sec drop way down and it actually seems like it's not rendering at all. More weirdness though.. if the render region touches one of the borders I get a horizontal or vertical band being rendered. See my screenshot below:

That is pretty weird! I had octane rendering a high res shot with region render touching two sides and it rendered outside the box, not inside. I noticed it throttling back via the msi temp/oc program. It does not throttle them back touching two sides but exhibits the other issue.

I can reproduce this problem here. I will try to fix it for the next release.
