Is there any news about the development of the new lightning system?
For scenes with multiple lights the current system is inviable for animations...
I'm rendering a scene (4000x2000px) with multiple lights with 3 titans and for a clean render i would have to wait for 2 or more days...
Can you comment about the development of this new system?
Is there a schedule to implement it?
Thanks a lot

I recently tried new thing. I made my lights very small like a small tiny square, increased power because of it and in the light options where it says samples I changed 1 to 1000 seems like it fixed the noise and fireflies. Maybe it will help

i see that you need to do experience before trying bigs. You are not making good tests about my advice. We have done some tests on GI clamp. That was very usefull. Also you should understand what's causing fireflys. Try to lower emission values, increase iso or exposure. Try to find good balance between things before appyling textures. Adjusting the lighting over textured models, this is not good idea. I would hope that i could explained what i mean. I'm a developper no longer and i can only give some advices.

After 46:30 hours of render... isn´t enough

Image
PMC 4000x2000 GI clamp 1 Caustic blur 0,5 rayepsilon 0,001 rrprob 0,25 max rejects 500

I tried a lot of configurations...

I tried to change the lights from octane lights to planes with blackbody emission... then i´ve tried planes with texture emission...

Then i´ve tried IES lights (don´t do that)... infinite slower

I´ve tried to tweak light sample, GI clamp, ISO, exposure, etc... but the noise is impossible to get rid off

I don´t have problems with fireflies what bothers me is the noise... the image is completly noisy..

I need some help here...

Thank you
