Hi,

I just started a new Octane project but somehow the HDRI Enviroment function is not working anmyore. I created the OctaneSky and the Tag via the Objects menu but when i load an HDRI it doesn't affect my scene at all. I still have the default Background/Lighting, and only the intensity of the lighting if i change the power of the HDRI.

I have another project where it just works fine. As soon as i create a new HDRI object in this scene, same thing happens. Even if a try to change the HDRI in this scene, the BG changes to default.

The problem appears in the Live Viewer as well as in Picture Viewer.

I don't see any reflections either if i create a glossy material.

I'm I doing something wrong? I just updated to the latest version, same problem.

Thanks for any help :)

Seems i cant edit the post...
Anyway, going back to 2.02 (standalone and plugin) doesn't solve the problem. :/

Thanks Ahmet for your reply. I was thinking about attaching a screenshot or a scene but decided not to because a scene would just contain content of three clicks and the screenshot would only show the default settings.

BUT, i figured it out. It seems to be a bug, maybe you can reproduce it.

HDRIs don't show up if the path to the folder is saved in C4Ds settings. For Example:
My HDRIs are saved in S:\Texturen\HDRIs and i added S:\Texturen to the Texture Paths in C4D Preferences. Every file which is stored in S:\Texturen\HDRIs won't show up in Octane. Anyway, all files outside this path behave just as you expect them to do. HDRIs loaded from my desktop work flawless.
Adding S:\Texturen\HDRIs directly to the saved paths ends up in the same result, no showing of the HDRI.

Summary: All files i load in are not showing up in the renderings or viewport (altough their little previews in the rendertag show up) as long as ther paths are saved in C4Ds preferences. Copy the files to another location and load them again works just fine. The attachement shows the "not working configuration".

Can anybody confirm this?:)

Hm ok, but i intentionally didn't add the paths for octane. It was an overall action to get rid of the "file is not in project search path" message. I was just wondering that it would affect Octane in this way by simply not using the selected HDRI.

maybe i can add this paths. But i don't want to use to much option. Need to remove other to use one. Two will slowdown some process. Octane could do some output to console window for unfound textures
