Hi Ahmet,
I'm having trouble using OctaneRender for C4D with e-on Carbon Scatter. I watched your video saw these two plugins work together. When I reload the scene in Octane, the instances are rendered. As soon as I move my mouse over the viewport, the instances disappear. Do you know how I can fix this? I have uploaded a screencast here:

I saw this was an issue someone else was having here.
Thank you.

Are your Carbon Scatter up to date?
I use CS2 with Cinema R15 and have no problems. I do remember that CS2 came with a R14 version that was buggy on R15 but there is an update if you log in to their "Software updates" section.

Thanks for the response. I just bought Carbon Scatter, so I downloaded it (version 2.0 build 2103892) from the link they sent me last night. I installed the Cinema 4D R15 version. You are right - there is an update to the one I have - 2103901. I will try it to see if that fixes it.

It did not fix it.
I have also reached out to e-on software technical support.
I checked to make sure I have the latest video card drivers. OctaneRender, Cinema 4D, and Carbon Scatter are all now their latest builds.

Make sure to determine that it's an Octane problem or something else. Does the internal software render also fail to display all instances?, also try another proxy method like "pointcloud" instead of "boxes".

you should know that Picture viewer uses render data but Live viewer is working with viewport data. It may be your problem.

Okay, thank you. Is there a way for me to see my changes to Carbon Scatter in Octane in real time? Or will I always need to render to the Picture Viewer?aoktar wrote:you should know that Picture viewer uses render data but Live viewer is working with viewport data. It may be your problem.
sorry but i cannot provide compatibiliy for each plugin on LV. Because this kind of plugins are designed for normal rendering. Live Viewer works realtime and any exception will make that slower.blastframe wrote:Okay, thank you. Is there a way for me to see my changes to Carbon Scatter in Octane in real time? Understandable. Thanks!

Our mainframe is well and compatible with C4D structure. This don't mean that i'll completely ignored compatibility for plugins. But plugins should support renderers rather than a renderer. I can say that more and more plugins will give some hand to Octane.blastframe wrote:Understandable. Thanks!
Thanks for your understanding
