hi all, i assume and i have tried with out success, that materials set up as skin overlays / second skins wont work on poser characters in octane?

right

Use a multiply node and plug images into each texture. As long as your "overlay" image has a white background, it should work.

Example:
Base map
Base map
Overlay map
Overlay map
Multiply
Multiply
It doesn't matter which order they appear in the multiply node.

As dysee says, you will need to manually setup the materials - the plugin won't automatically convert them from Poser material to Octane materials.

If the overlay works with a mask (using the blender node in poser), you can also do this with a mix or material mix mode. Just plugin the mask in the value parameter and the two skins in the texture nodes
