3D Gradient

I need a 3D Gradient inside a Cube, is this possible with 1.54.2?
yes,
but you need to use global coordinate system with help of projection nodes. try octane gradient and a XYZ projection (global)

I downloaded the file and gave your 3D Gradient Material a try. I would like to create a material that fades towards the center from the top and bottom. I removed everything but the diffuse, which is now set to a black and white gradient. Can you tell me why the gradient includes red (and how I can remove it without using an alpha channel)? I tried using a mix material, but this resulted in a color also. My C4D file is attached.
Thank you.
no mistake, it's a bug. Fixing
