i have a scene in which i want a plane to be reflected but not to cast a shadow to the objects below, but when i turn off shadow visiblity nothing happens don't know why?
here is a screen shot with everything turned on
here is another with the shadow off, note the car is still dark
and here is one with general visibility turned down to zero, the shadows disappear from the car but remain on the matte shadow material
anybody has any ideas how to fix this?
shadow visibility does not work(octane standalone 1.5)

Nope. I ran into the issue myself.
Hopefully the devs were listening to that "compositing" suggestion people are making including me and put the ability to turn off certain properties of the material(shadow/gloss/diffuse/camera etc) when interacting with other objects. And that's for V 2.5
That would be a proper solution to our issue.
