Well - i'll try if i can get any answer from anybody regarding the subject
WILL there be a new EXPORTER for C4D, as i can't afford to buy the plugin, but have to stay with the standalone and the exporter - alembic export is not an option as it cannot export materials

hi,
there is no need for a new exporter, it works smoothly even with v2.02
you can use the exporter for the static geometry and the alembic exporter for animated cameras and geometry.
you can see alembic materials in standalone if you assign a polygon selection for any material with proper name and check the option in the alembic exporter.

Thank you for the answer, i've have figured that out now - but it's a terrible way to do this - much work i think. Anyways - lokks like OCTANE is going to be a dead end for me then. Shiould have known before upgrading

Wll i thought i had figured it out.....but no - it renderes something i haven't asked for....
I know its much to ask but could you perhaps sketch a workflow for the following C4D rel 14 scenario
I matrix mograhp 3*3 with to spheres, one black and one red, and with a simulation "rigid body" tag.
i floor object with collider simulation tag.
One plane - as floor - with a floor material
One camera - close up of default view, 1920*1080p
100 frames
How would i go about, exporting this using exporter and alembic?

P.S. i tried with only alembic export and the animation keep exchanging the colours on the spheres with balck and red and back and forth and so on and so forth
