The saber blade is not really as I want it, turns out it's hard to make something that defies the laws of physics in a physically correct render engine

I have a pretty lousy video card with only 190 cuda cores. But I'm hopeful to get a new card soon, so I splurged on Octane.
Here's my first render, where I spent most of my time trying to get a nice skin texture with SSS.

Stopped after 20 minutes of render time... if my math is correct, a Titan Black could be almost 20X faster... so in a perfect world I would get this in one minute with a new top-end system.

190 CUDA cores? Do you also drive a DeLorean?
