+1 for me. I had to buy two additional seats and plugins just for rendering. I love octane but I think this may be the only render engine requiring full seat purchases for network rendering. This issue alone could force me to look elsewhere eventually.

For those that can't access the beta forum, there is a similar recap here:

I'll try to consolidate my hoped for features:

- multiple UV map support
- proxies support
- shader-based camera visibility
- reflection catcher
- particle support
- render booleans
- simplified/streamlined SSS
- procedural displacement (and, yes, more procedural choices, too).
- custom camera response curves
- texture color correction nodes and more blending nodes (add, overlay, etc.)
- environment fog system

Can we get some kind of texture generator that goes from white (geometry up close) to black (geometry in the distance)?

I just incorporated draw distance with my CSV instances to speed up render times. Problem is, it looks weird in the distance if I dont change my ground material to a grass material.

Dynamic load/unload of GPU memory so we can avoid hitting the limit of the GPU memory by sharing this with the RAM.

In the longer term, perhaps if the various features like displacement, object motion blur etc were modular then it would be possible to run Octane without certain features enabled (via command line flags or a welcome screen) to get more speed out of it when those features will not be needed for the current project.

This but with various drivers. Distance from camera (as you have suggested), but distance from other object: X, Y or Z value: Slope: Angle of incidence: Bump/displacement height. I would sell my right nut for this node. I use it (Gradient) in Lightwave all the time, and sorely miss it.
