Hi all,
I think/hope I have now a robust OBJ/MTL export working. Materials get exported only as diffuse material with the average colour as diffuse colour. And no polygon selections are supported. But the actual geometry and UV export plus name mangling and other things should work fine:
To export a scene, just click on Plugins -> Octane Export. You can then specify project name and directory in the dialog that shows up and then you have to click on "Export OBJ/MTL only". The render button is not functional as well as the export configuration and animation groups. Tomorrow (well, actually this morning) I will provide a Mac build. After that I will try to call Octane from C4D and then to pass the export options of the dialog.
These are the PC builds of the plugin:
CINEMA 4D R9.6 (32/64bit):
CINEMA 4D R10.1 - 11.0 (32/64bit):
CINEMA 4D R11.5 (32/64bit):

the octane render binary is how the script finds octane.exe, so it can start it.ribrahomedesign wrote:thank you .
