Can someone put up a tutorial on how to do the new hair in the LW Plugin? Like how do you create the 2 point poly chains?

Thank you for any help!

I am now working in the 2.0 docs, I hope to have them ready next week.

Anyway work with Octane hair is really easy. In the future I want to support the Layout FiberFX tool, but currently you need to use two points polygons chains.

* Use the Modeler FiberFX tool to model your hair
* With the Modeler FFX tool you are going to get a new layer in the object with the two points polygons chains.
* Load the object in Layout
* Select the hair object layer and add to it the Octane custom object plugin
* Enable the hair rendering and set the hair parameters
* Configure the shading for the hair material using the Octane materials nodes
* Done !!!

I will post some pictures about all this steps later.

Hi, there is another way to do this :

- Go to fiberfx in layout, do your hair normaly in it.
- When you're ready, right mouse on your object in the fiberfx panel and choose polygonize.
- Et voilà.you have a new object with "polygonal fibers".
- Enable the hair rendering and set the hair parameters on this new object
- .....like Juanjgon........

Hope this help.

Did a quick test of getting Zbrush FibreMesh, into LW, turning it into FiberFX, and setting it to Hair in Octane. Works quite well I think.
