Is it 11.63 and above? Upgrading to 11.63 as Octane tells me it can't find a gpu.

If Octane can't see your GPUs you should update your NVidia driver to the last version. Octane 2.0 needs the last NVidia drivers because it uses the last CUDA release.

Hi,

I just upgraded and installed the standalone, opened lightwave and removed octane ready to install the new lw plugin.

When I try and load plugin I get an error saying:

"The procedure entry point ?openOctanePreferences@ApiNetRenderManager@Octane@@SAXXZ could not be found in (location of my plugin)."

I copied across the .dll and .dat to my lw bin folder so not sure what to try next.

I'm running lw 11.63 64bit

Any help on this greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I am sure that at some point you are mixing the Octane.dll/Octane.dat and the plugin .p file of 1.5 and 2.0 versions. Please, check again that you don't have the old files in your system and copy the new Octane.dll/Octane.dat 2.0 files to your LW/bin directory and install the new 2.0 plugin again.

You need to check that you don't have the old 1.5 plugin installed in your Layout. To be sure delete the 1.5 .p file of your HD.

Thanks.

I've deleted all older octane plugins from my HD and ensured that I copied the correct .dat and .dll files to the bin file...still the same issue.

Even though I've deleted the octane plugin from lightwave it still appears in my master plugins list (although wont run of course).

This could be the problem ... remove the master plugin, and then remove the plugin from Layout and delete the old 1.5 plugin file. I think that you are loading the 1.5 plugin with the new 2.0 Octane.dll

Can you see both 1.5 and 2.0 plugins in Layout plugins panel? ... you can use the file option to see all the plugin files loaded.
