The wait is over. Octane render for Lightwave version 2.0 has been released today !!!

This release is available for Lightwave 10.1 and 11.6 Windows x32 and x64, and it is going to be available for OSX in few days. I am working in the new documentation, that is going to be ready also next week. This is only the first release of the 2.x dev. cycle. I want to add new features to the plugin along this year ;)

And remember that for limited time if you buy the standalone upgrade you get the plugin upgrade for free !!!

Enjoy it :)

EDIT: The OSX version of the plugin is ready ... this are the final download links:

Windows: http://render.otoy.com/customerdownload ... indows.zip
OSX: http://render.otoy.com/customerdownload ... 10_OSX.zip

Hey guys, go pick up a box of Depend® before upgrading! You are going to poop your pants!!.... Myself, BorisGoreta and gordonrobb (and I think one other dude) have been beta testing the hell out of Standalone and LW plug since April (us 3 or 4 LW guys testing sa and plug - something like 40 or so Octane beta testers total, I think). Juanjo has done an incredible job, and from my experience, it is rock-solid. And the new procedural support he just added is mind-boggling, to boot. Run, do not walk, to get your upgrade!!! You will be giddy like a little schoolgirl.

Great news. I bought the upgrade to standalone yesterday and I'm downloading the lightwave plugin now. So,just to recapitulate, should I also buy the plugin (and I'll get It for free when getting to the purchase page)or should the new live account code be added automaticly in my account? Because right now I don't have It in my account.
Congratulation for your work Juanjo, I'm so looking forward to lauch and test the new release!

Try to buy it (of course for free) if you don't have the plugin 2.x licenses in your account yet.

Try this:

"If your new 2.0 plugin license doesn't just appear in the account, you have to go back to the upgrade page with the blue truck on (at the 'home' of the site) and click upgrade again. Then, it pops up just the plugin upgrade, for 39.95. But when you actually go to buy it, it's free"

You should have the file "octane_menu.cfg" in the root folder of the .zip file with the new menu for the 2.0 plugin. Check it again.

To upgrade the Standalone (and get the free plugin upgrade) you need to click in the "UPGRADE" button you have now in the main Octane web page intro image.
