hi karba, you mention about this point: Exporter to Standalone. how Works this option ? exist any plugin to export a scene done with octane for max and open into standalone ? can you explain, please.

HI KARBA,

There is problem i m facing in camera correction modifier(CCM).
1. I put octane camera... then apply CCM..It doesnot correct the camera.. as compared to vray camera in which we apply CCM and as per target angle to camera it make the inclined mesh lines to vertical.
2. Even after clicking guess the value remains 0.00 well that case i manually use to correct it with changing parameters to - or +.
3. while changing parameters to -.001 i does not get result and i knew that if i put -.002 it will be perfect. and try to change from -.001 to -.002 the value does not change, and in that case i go to -.005.. it changes and then again i change to -.002... it works and i get the result.

Karba it good to get camera correction option but it is not working friendly.

Request you to rectify the same.

Hi Karba ,

1.53A VERSION IS REALLY GOOD. WE ARE USING IT FOR ARCHITECTURAL FIELD. SCENE GETS RENDERED IN SECONDS AND MINUTES.

BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IS realistic rendering.. output is still lacking because of RENDER PASS (WHICH ALLOW IS TO GET BEST OUTPUT)
AND Withought render passes scene looks like 3d image and not photo realistic image.

Prior many members has put you request to work for render passes and if that is done QCTANE WILL BE WINNER.

request you all members to again put a request for RENDER PASSES.

Also support for conversion:
I've got a ton of V-Ray scenes and models with color correction maps and they are not getting translated.

For me it's an essential and very basic feature.
It's VERY time consuming to go back and forth in Photoshop and Max:
Render, open texture in Photoshop, GUESS hue, save under different name, reload map in Max, render. And then the same thing over again because it will not be right the first time.

So please :?
Hue and Saturation is quite hard to add due to octane internal color model.
We will see what we can do.

using 1.53a same issue...

After waiting for above an hour we did not found any progress. so we took this snap shot.. we have even rebooted the system but same issue..

Please help...

Hi karba.

It is difficult to send the file as its size is 2.3 gb
I see. It is almost impossible to guess what the problem is.

Just click the button to save a scene to orbx file and the file in standalone later.

Objects with target in 3dsmax are very complicated.

Hi Guys, any plans to add multi UVW map channels? It's quite hard to work without them and time consuming to work around it. It is the one feature that prevents me from leaving vray in most jobs.
