If I need a reflection/refraction of the surroundings to match a plate, I have to camera map it on to the matte plane, the 3d representation of the ground or what ever it be. it wont be perfect. but I think you will have more control of the reflection/refraction and in the example of the cube on the road, the reflection would be better with a custom camera map, as long as the geometry of the road is built and placed like the original plate.abstrax wrote: How did the previous matte material help you in any of the above? The main thing I am lacking is the diffuse light bounce.
attached is an example of a camera mapped ground plane with reflections. here I have mapped the back plate to a curved plane and lit it by a octane day light. it is not accurate sins it also shadowing it self but I think the reflections come out OK. as we can se on the white diffuse cylinder, it get´s "acurate" diffuse light bounce from the yellow road marks.

After waiting for above an hour we did not found any progress. so we took this snap shot.. we have even rebooted the system but same issue..

With this new version i am facing below problems..
1. i m not able to get render view-port done (it is showing black..)
2. when i was using previous version 1.5a, i that on view poet 3 buildings were open and when i turn 4th building whole building turns to black and at some places there colors also changes.
The same project is running very stable and smoothly with 1.20. and it is rendering in 3 min with full HD quality 1200 samples

Yeah, red as it is, I have no idea.It didn't really failed , did it ?
Even because the file is working Great for me ,and rendering 3.3 mps, as fast as ever.
,I can't see any trouble with my 780 Ti, so, it is rendering and navigating smoothly.
Perhaps a litlle bug that can easily be adressed on the next release ?
but pratically speaking, I am able to just ignore it and keep working.

just a question : what the emisson slot in the specular/scattering node is supposed to do ?
We can't put any blackbody or texture emission in it.
