I have no control over the camera, please help.
Isn't there a way to mimick host application camera behaviour via a switch.

Hi,

I don't understand why you don't have control, can you explain in detail ?
Are you sure you're importing in the right scale ?
Check your modeling scale and make sure the scale is set correctly in the OBJ import preferences panel in octane's file menu.

I export via rhino, scale adjustment to metres help in a different area, image quality is better now but the view keeps rotating via an axis through the camera if you understand what I mean

I would not want to revert to my host app constantly to adjust the view

Hi,

As said, please use our demosuite scenes first to get a feel of how octane works...

in the demo scenes the camera works ok.
Is there a template you could provide me with that works and isn't to taxing on the system.
I don't seem to be able to put my mesh in the demo suite, it is quite big.
Sometimes when loading in big meshes octane crashes, do I need to load them in in parts?

just need to get comfortable with the demosuite first, then try to get a simple object in the right scale into octane.
then, try to push more vertices and see where it leads...
