Yes, but as you know I can't add nodes to Octane ... this kind of gradient node need to be supported by Octane Standalone before add it to the plugins, sorry :(

New feature: The Random Color Texture node. This node creates some random float values between 0 and 1, that are constant, but different for instances of the same mesh, so you can use it to apply random colors, textures or materials to the instances.

Thought so. Despite my repeated attempts at asking them, they have singularly failed to answer this question. I see a glimmer of hope with procedurals, although it looks like it will rely on LUA and be a CPU thing, and is now unclear if it will be even version 2. They really need to get their communication regarding bugs and feature requests sorted out. This ad hoc method of working is not great.

You, however, are doing a sterling job sir :)

Now this will come very handy! Micro poly displacement! How cool is that!
Thank you Juanjo!

Sweet. Was thinking if two things.

Firstly, will the displacement have a mid point. So that we can have negative and positive displacement. This will be vital fir use with ZBrush displacement maps.

Will we ever see it going vale to render the baking camera?

You have a shift parameter to displace the displacement. About baking camera, I have no news about it.

tell me if i'm wrong but your last render ( sun + shri ) seems to be less dependent to the fireflies caustics genrated by the very high exposition, with 'only' 1200 samples calculated ( or is it a filter applied to remove them ) ...
Just a question, i'm confused about the futur motion blur feature : will this be out at the first time or in a second time ? I've seen both informations on other threads...
Thanks
