yes, but octane doesn't have displacement, all types of motion blur, render-time subdivisions, doesn't support fluids and curves(etc for hairs), doesn't have lightfilters (etc gobo, lightdecay and so on), doesn't have light blockers, doesn't support IBL + sun, doesn't have render region, and have very few AOVs, and slower and slower with each implemented feature... and octane doesn't have public c++ and python SDK for 3rd party developers...so IMHO on this stage of development such comparison is pointless
