Hi Aoktar,
It would be very useful, but am still not able to load an .ocs file to get the material of an older project.
I need this, because I do not want to upload Materials with commercial textures to Live DB.
Do I need to prepare an .ocs in standalone in a certain way? I Tried with 1.20, but nothing happens. The same, if I choose «save ocs.» in Cinema.
Sometimes I have crashes on R15 with 1.01. Attached bug report.
thanks for your work & best regards
David

you can get materials from .ocs files. But you should put everything to main nodegraph. If your materials is in nodegrap, make ungroup and save the project. And run LoadOcs command from plugin.
I'm working for improved standalone integration on development version
I haven't tested on Mavericks, to say something is not easy for that

When i try to rendering in "preview mode" , sequence of frames is correct, but the camera movement as if through the frame. What's the problem. In simple scenes it is not noticeable^ but On complex catches the eye
this section(preview rendering) is deprecated. I'm going to remove soon. Octane rendering options is giving much better ways to generate previews.e-d-g-e wrote:When i try to rendering in "preview mode" , sequence of frames is correct, but the camera movement as if through the frame. Hello aoktar,
I would like to report a few bugs or if they are not bugs maybe i don't know how to setupd the plugin.
-after i adjust my render settings on the dialog bar and resend scene (not in the c4d render settings ctrl+b), if i close the window and open it again, the settings reset to default. The settings i just did refresh if i send my scene/start new render.
-when using octane daylight, after i enable the sun and set the date and time, i hit refresh, it shows the correct angle/intensity, but if i adjust the time or date it resets to it's default position (sunset). i can't adjust it realtime, i have to hit refresh every time i update the date and time.
-If i use hdri for lighting my scene and a c4d background+texture, the background is not visible if looking through glass. I can see the background image perfect otherwise, but it's not visible through the glass.
-if i save from the live viewer my image on any format, it doesn't save with background, it creates alpha for my background. the only way to save the image with background is to render it in picture viewer. Sometimes it renders with alpha background even in picture viewer and i have "keep background" checked.
-I have 2 custom layouts created in Cinema4D with octane live viewer window. If i switch between the those 2 layouts, i cannot send my scene and start a new render. I have to change to another layout and back to this layout to be able to render and send my scene.
-If i save my render as TIFF, it is saved with too high brightness/exposure, higher than live viewer. If i save as png, the contrast is fine, but TIFF it's washed out, too much exposure, like the gamma is higher or something. I am not sure if this is from c4d or plugin though.
I hope my feedback helps. Thanks for the great effort you put into it, keep it going!
thank you.

Hi Pavel,
i have to ask before reply, is it a report for which version? 1.00, 1.50?

i have deprecated 1.0 due 1.50. Any update is not possible on 1.0. Mostly problems has been fixed on development versions.
Liveviewer don't compose background and render buffer on saving. It's currently is for only tweaking.
Specular materials has not produce transparent alpha. If you need some transparency use also opacity slot.
Also you should activate alpha on kernel settings, because we are accounting Octane output with alpha for mixing this buffer and background.
For layout switching, it's not possible to do something for that. You can try to save your layouts with octane window.
Last problem is fixed on 1.50 or close versions. we are applying some color correction to match render buffer and output no longer.pavel wrote: -If i save my render as TIFF, it is saved with too high brightness/exposure, higher than live viewer. The layouts are saved with octane window. I have installed 1.01 because i have read (stabile version) and i thought that this one is more stabile than 1.5 which had bugs and crushed. Than i realised some of the crashes were because the scene exceeded my 3gb video ram. I will switch back to 1.5 if you say it's better.
