Thanks for the update, it looks fantastic!! Very impressed that you're able to render Howies scenes with Octane, I just hope they'll fit on my Fermi card. I've really been enjoying Octane, and I'm really looking forward to using it in Carrara. The integration looks great, keep up the good work!

Really good work! That's massive progress from the last update.

I'm hoping you'll do a complete job on all the parameters and options in Carrara. This will be good for sales of your product and good for sales of Carrara. Finally we can put to bed all those rendering issues and enjoy using our favorite editor safe in the knowledge it will render without issues.

If there is some network option in the pipeline as well I'll be really pleased.

Keep up the good work.

Just one quick question. In the video you show saving to .ocs from the plugin, and reloading a saved scene directly into the plugin, so I was wondering does the .ocs contain all the scene info, including geometry, so it can be opened and used in the stand alone?
Thanks!

Right now the saving and loading is only of the render target. It does not include any geometry or geometry materials. This feature is mainly a workaround for the fact that render target settings are not currently saved in the .car file. All geometry and related materials (including octane materials) are saved in the .car file.

That said, a full export of a scene is planned and will be available before release. No promises on any kind of importer though. I think that a material importer might be possible so you can round-trip with the standalone but this will depend on whether or not materials can be mapped back to their original geometry.

Oooh! This is what I've been waiting for. I love the Poser version, but this will help with my other little projects. :D
