that does'nt look like an expansion slot, just an assembly to mount a PCI-E card in a low-profile case.
it's not what you need. ;)

You can pick up a PCI video card to go into one of the standard PCI slots on the motherboard if you want a card dedicated for display and such. There aren't that many out there anymore, but they do still exist. Try to stay with Nvidia as it makes the whole process a lot smoother. Good thing though is that they are fairly inexpensive now.

If you are trying to get a multi-gpu rendering type system going, then yes you will need either a new motherboard or a PCIe expander like the Cubix GPU-x (check the link at the top of the Octane site). If you are just wanting to add another video card for the purpose of freeing up your gtx260 for rendering, making this new video card only used for desktop display and such, then a standard PCI based card should work for you. I think you are leaning more towards the expansion though if I understand correctly.

Thanks a lot Havensole..
I'd like to use a new VGA only for display, and the old GTX 260 only for gpu rendering..no multigpu rendering
But i don't know how are the performance of VGA(for display) if this isn't a pci-e VGA when i modeling or navigate whit a big scene...
If i take the VGA that you tell me or similar , can this and the GTX 260 cooperate when i don't rendering nothing, or work only the VGA for display (bridge??)??
I hope you can understand me..:D

It shouldn't be an issue to use the PCI video card along with your gtx260 in the PCIe slot. I've used the onboard video card of my motherboard along with my gtx470's, a gts250, and my old 8800gt. You will probably have to go into your bios setting and make sure it is set to use the video out of the PCI bus, not the PCIe bus. It really makes working with Octane a lot nicer having a second card just for displays. Everything runs a lot smoother. Now if you want to render for awhile and then start playing video games off of the gtx260 you will have to reboot and reset your bios settings to use the PCIe bus and then make the physical connections with your monitor and whatnot. I think the biggest issue you will have might be with the bios settings, but that would be limited. Just make sure you install the drivers for both cards before you install the new one. I would remove the gtx260 from the system and install the new card. get it running and then re-install the gtx260. Once your system is loaded you will have to go into the nVidia control panel and turn on physics acceleration so that it will work properly (<--am I correct on this Radiance?).
