thanks most probably there will be some (bugs). time to party might come with v1.5 or so, in the meanwhile i had to build the hackintosh - what else should one do on christmas eve

a last message from the past year covering some late addons:
previews and thumbnails browser for user presets (also drag & drop source/target)
copy and paste for material settings directly within the oc mat tree AND
paste settings minus maps = applying a material template
this can be used for any of the materials no matter if live db or user presets or scene materials; means it is not needed to first load sthg., just use "copy settings" and paste them to any 1-n scene materials.
a bunch of keyboard shortcuts for the mat tab and the nge (classics like ctrl+c/v of course plus several others)
i'm now about ready to take a long nap and put everything together for the test release. so 2nd of january seems to be within reach, what also means it is exactly 7 months after the last version was out. 7 months that felt more like 6 years; at least i feel 7 years older now
apart from that i hope you all have - or had - a happy new year
and 'd like to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to work along on what needs to be worked out and all the patience it took. and i promise to not overstress it very much longer

I just have to say I'm kinda amazed that I've been using the current beta release for so long and I've gotten to a point where working around all the issues is second nature . By the time the update comes out I'll probably be alienated by it and so stuck to my habits I never even learn whats new in it LOL. Hopefully there will be an updated user guide when the next release hits and I could read over that at get inspired to use the new features.
EDIT: Thinking about it a full on guide may not be needed, A consolidated list of new features may actually be all I need. Not sure yet. I don't even know whats new in Octane at this point since I stopped paying attention months ago. I'll prolly try to play catchup whenever us Daz users get a new build.
Heh, I'm kind of on the other end. Just bought a license and is debating myself if I should start messing with workarounds, or just wait for the update
