Bump AND Normal maps

Hi,
new user… and exercising myself to octane…
Using the plugin, and wanted to add a little bump on these strawberries… but no way, when a texture is already in the the normal maps slot…
Bugg or doing it wrong ?

Hi Huv,

This is by design. The normal map takes precedence.
The bump map will only work if there is nothing in the normal map pin.

hi, as a workaround, you can use a mix material to mix one with normal map and a copy with bump map ;)

Is this going to change as the plugin is still in beta… ?
Such mix can be done easily in vray… and cinema 4d…
