It works fine for animations, but I can't it to render a single still image.

Is this not possible yet or am I not doing something right?
This just a guess, but I can't see octane being able to split up gpu cores like that.

For single images team render splits up CPU cores so the various nodes can grab a square of the image and help render it. Octane doesn't really work like that, so I'd assume it would be just animations for octane and team render.. Since animations are always full frame renders.

It may be an Octane issue. There is another C4d GPU renderer that does single images via Team Render.

and it's an awesome attempt my friend. Love it. Personally, i have no need to team render a single frame.

thanks, i need some appreciation for more motivation. My concept is to do best of possible. Some people cannot estimate how big effort is spent for all features. Also C4D hasn't convenience for most Octane features. A very simple feature can be very big problem, for example gui programming, drag&drop operations, material previews, etc....

Thanks

Hey man, you have my full support and appreciation. Without this product, regardless of it's current limitations, i'd be pretty screwed and would have a lesser version of our product. Team render working in any way is a godsend for our workflow. Once the Mac version is tight, i'll be heaven.

Pretty much most of my issues are issues that cant be fixed until Octane SDK supports them. Such as compositing tag support. Honestly, that is my only desired feature at the moment.

You are doing an amazing job and i'm always glad to help with any testing you need on Mac or PC.

Hey Aoktar,

u do a great job!!! the plugin is very stable and from version to version you add so much cool new features. i have started with the first version of plugin for c4d. between those versions are worlds :geek:
Keep going! but sometimes i think it would be better to fix known bugs(mix materials :P ) then for example develop new features. Btw i got my only missed feature - motion blur and it works awesome. fast and nice.

Thanks Pixelkingdom and SVITAdmin

Thnx, i know this gui problem, i have spent lot of time to fix it. But no succes until know. But i may say, i have some ideas about material interface. I don't wanna go with this classical c4d interface. I'll create new material system and a compact material very similar to system of octane. I have some problems against that but i'll look for solutions. If you look to node editor controls you may understand my target. It's still premature.

Also, we have a long way on development, now 1.20 sdk is about outdated. Next versions will have object visibility, much more mapping options, native mblur, Cloud rendering, etc... But i have to fix this version without adding new features, and start with next SDK.
