Hi,

sorry! I don't get it atm.

How can I render out an object with reflections (from the surrounding objects - not hdri)
without the surrounding objects.

Like I normally would do with comp-tag/object buffer - not seen by camera but
sending GI and reflections.

thanks
Mike

answer: You can't =)

the way to do that is like rendering two /or as much as You need/ images and then doing photoshop work =) but in some situations it's not the best solution =) thought it works if You need solution badly /including cost of render time =)

o.k. thanks.
So I'll work with C4D Passes.

one other thing please!

I'm trying to make a slightly blurred glass material which is illuminated inside.
I cannot get this to work.

Any idear how to set this up?
Can I place simply a light inside a glass cube?
Rendertime is of course an important aspect.

thanks

use an object with a blackbody emission on it for the light. place that in a glass object. adjust the roughness on teh glass to adjust blur

currently working on a project that utilizes this method
