im using maya2011x64
with the first version of the script the camera was working for me, except when it came to "render animation". using "render animation" the animation of the camera wouldnt update and i kept getting an error "file exists. overwrite".
now with the newer "2nd script" the camera is way off like the previous post says, and the animation will render frames up to 1 less than the end frame input, without the camera animation updating and still along with the file exists overwrite error.

Thanks for developing the plug in Bezuka.bazuka wrote:yes u wont have right position of camera and target (aim)
I was wondering though, usually when animating camera, we don't necessarily use camera with aim most of the time, and also Camera with aim has the problem of flipping when camera travels over 90 degrees, that is, camera + aim won't be able to do the up-side-down camera angle, while we might actually need that in some circumstances.
Is there a way to get the information from regular camera, rather than just camera + aim?
Or say, a way to pass the camera informatino to a new camera + aim, while the new camera can have the exact translation and rotation value with the old camera (the camera which I already animated in this case).
Thanks,

Both in Maya 2010 and 2011 (use different Maya2Octane scripts),
1. when I hit Render, it exports out single obj and mtl file, no ocs file being exported, no render is done.
2. When hitting Render Animation, only single obj and mtl file is exported, no ocs file being exported, and
the frame status (the second window that pops out when hitting Render Animation) is always 0%.
I check the task manager, one or two cores of the CPU (4 core, hyperthreading as 8) seems to be doing some job,
but there's no out come, the GPU is not doing anything in the background either (I check the EVGA precision, the GPU temperature remains the same).
I tried both a scene I am currently working on, and another scene file with relatively easy geometries and animation to do the test.
I also let Maya cook a while...say, 10 minutes...none of them seem to be able to do the job at the moment.
I was wondering, if anyone successfully rendered out something successfully yet...maybe I did something wrong?
