For startup crash, i think you copied files to folder and nvapi.dll. don't copynvapi.dll to here
An for stopped animations:
I doubt from power settings or Win8. Can you try with power saver is disabled and don't allow pc to sleeping. Also use this settings before rendering and leave opened this Console window to see render progress. As I described in first page

Thank you! But removing nvapi.dll makes no difference for me. C4D crashes on startup with or without the nvapi.dll file in the root folder. I can confirm c4d does NOT create a bugreport when this crash occurs. I've been looking for it, but nothing. When i have a "normal" crash from within Cinema (when octane is not installed), a bugreport is generated like normal.aoktar wrote:For startup crash, i think you copied files to folder and nvapi.dll. don't copynvapi.dll to here

Note: I also tried installing the 0.9 demo version to test, and this works fine! No crash with the demo....But i need my licensed version to work also

can you test with clear layout? If you have octane windows on startup layout can cause crash. It's only a estimate. Can you test with r14 if you have?datee wrote:Thank you! I have found very strange bug.
One is the instability of a shader. One of the materials of this scene, occasionally changes. it is as if the channel (specular) went out. After refreshing the texture, everything returns to normal, but only for a while '.
Another problem really strange, you can not perform animations on the z axis. The button to create the keyframe creates a key, but no changes are made.
The scene crashes often. I attach one of the bugreport.

crash point is on sending of mesh data. There can be a problem with mesh.atilak wrote:I have found very strange bug.

seperately, i see a error, it says "texture not found" for "bobine spec.jpg". is this in same place with others? what is your texture sizes? is that very big?
for anim. problem, i don't think that's related with plugin.

the textures are large 2k, And yes is not in the same folder. Now i try to put it in the correct folder. It would be possible to trace the piece of mesh that generates the crash?
Perhaps there is some function of cinema 4d which blocks the animation which I am ignorant
your work is amazing. I wonder how complicated it was to create plugins for all these software.
Thank you so much for Octane, will change the way I work, and I think also that of my collaborators.

first thanks for compliment. I agree with you. Octane can change the way. Also when the new version is available. And plugin will be more competitive on next versions.atilak wrote:the textures are large 2k, And yes is not in the same folder. Now i try to put it in the correct folder. For crash: To make a crash is not expected because of a mesh. CAn you reproduce crash? Try to hide somethings to found problem. I can check if you cannot found. Drop me a PM only.
For textures: Plugin first checks the project folder and tex folder here. Also you can use octane texture paths. It looks subfolders also.
