We'll try testing it at Cubix with Linux. See if we can get 10 GPUs running Octane Render on one workstation like we did last week.Re: 2.2 RC1 release tomorrow
yes, there will be a linux version.
however we don't have a multi-gpu linux system so we can't guarantee if it will work correctly, it's a release candidate after all we're releasing tomorrow, not the final one.
2.2 RC1 release tomorrow
Omigod ! That would be tooooo fastEricNV wrote:10 GPUs running Octane Render on one workstation
I'm gonna test the new release on a machine with 1 x 480 + 2 x 280. Win 7 x64
Seems kinda puny now !

4 of the "GPU-X" units attached to one Supermicro motherboard (2 of the graphics cards were Quadro FX 5800 with 2 GPUs each) featuring the Intel 5500 chipset. And there was at least 1 slot left over, so maybe I'll shoot for 11-12 next time...whoa.... 10 gpus? what mobo did you guys use? Don't tell us that all the gpus are gtx 4XX ...? I'll let Radiance make the announcement regarding the GPU-X products, what they are and how to get more info.
I'll test 10 x GTX 470 or 480 cards simultaneously on one motherboard at some point soon. This could be one heck of a rendering cannon...umm, I meant to say rendering solution!
