OBJ Export Settings for Octane

Not sure if anyone is interested, but these settings work very well for DAZStudio exported objects.
I find it best to collect the materials in a local directory, but you can leave them in their origiinal directory and the .mtl file will link to the materials.

If the materials are stored in a complex directory structure then it's best to use the "Collect Maps" option and it will make a MAPS folder with the textures.

For coming out of Rhino, clearing "Export mesh vertex normals" seems to make happy OBJs. This dialog is from Rhino 5 beta, Rhino 4 does not have this as an OBJ export option.

2.2 will allow you to use export vertex normals and have much better quality rendering.

Hi radiance ,

here you will find the screenshots of raptide pro settings.

Any advice so that Octane doesn't crashes when i import the scene exported through Riptide Pro ? And keep the textures ...

can you try with the export mesh vertex normals enabled, and using the new 2.2 RC1 i just posted ?

Hi radiance,
Any way to prepare and export a scene with all materials in C4D 11.5 with or without Riptide???
(Same issues as "mnemonicmethod" mentioned in previous post).
