Hi Blender-Octane-Heads.

Can anybody tell me how to make an Alpha-Material?

I have rigidbodys that fall down to a cube. The cube is a passive rigidbody and should be invisible.
But i dont whant to see objects that are behind this cube. Because in post i whant to place the finished sequence over a video.

How to to this?

Hi Dafassi,

What you are looking for is probably the "matte" option in the diffuse material.
Apply an octane diffuse material to the passive rigidbody and tick the matte option on it.

Thanks
Chris.

No sorry, this kind of breakdown of the rendered components is not available in octane.
Only the deep channel kernel modes are available (ie: material ID, Z depth, geometric normals, shading normals, position, texture co-ordinates)

Thanks
Chris.
