Hi Juan,

I know limitations of LW and Octane SDKs. I also know that, surface properties are saved in object files in LW. But, the question is this : Can there be a way that, Node based surface properties to be linked in the scene file ?

My situation is :
I have many unique prodcut models (about 500) and I need each model to be rendered 360 deg. rotated with 4-5 different color variations in specified surfaces. All will be rendered in same render target settings.

In order to do this, I must save every scene and every object differently. In order to put render files to different directories, I must save every scene particularly. But, to have material information on objects, I must save them for each scene also.

Can there be a way to link "node based material data" to scene for the octane plugin ? (Note : All surfaces are only using Octane materials, without linkage to LW native tools)

Thank you

Perhaps you can think about animate the color property of the surfaces to render all variations with only one scene.

If you need to render for example a 360 deg. rotated with 200 frames/each animation, and you need also for example 5 colors, you can build a scene with 1000 frames and 5 object rotations, and animate the color parameter of the surface with the "E" buttons to change the surface for each rotation.
