Hi,
I installed the server & OctaneBlender in subfolders of a folder on my desktop. Next I launched each one (the server icon is in the tray).
When I try to put in the login info, the username & password disappear if I hit "enter" (?)
After several tries, I just hit f12 to see if it would take the login, but just get
"waiting for image" and a blank screen with a small checker pattern (in Rendered mode).
I've followed the directions in the first post here as well as the User Manual, but am not
able to get it to work so far.
It seems others have had the same problem, but the advice is just to re-install until it works?
Has anyone had trouble with the login?
Could you please create a short tutorial to show the basic workflow?
Thanks.
10min later....after re-launching Blender, it appears to be taking the username/password, but still "waiting for image".....just using the default sphere this time, but will check the materials/lighting to see if it's the problem.

Can you please describe how you are trying to activate the plugin? And what messages are appearing in console?msciwiarski wrote:As we can find at the CUDA web site https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gpus my GTX580 supports Compute Capability 2.0

Can you explain what you mean "activate the plugin" ??JimStar wrote:Can you please describe how you are trying to activate the plugin? And what messages are appearing in console?
After the installation process, described in Blender Plugin Manual I'm trying to put in login&password information and then switch the Blender Viewport Shadning as Rendered the “Waiting for image” message is displayed in VeiwPort. I don't know what messages are appearing in console, because I'm away from home right now. I can check this a little bit later.
best regards.
Michal

I think JimStar means start BlenderOctane from the commandline.
From Windows Online FAQ
"Open the Command Prompt window by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button. In the search box, type Command Prompt, and then, in the list of results, click Command Prompt."
"To view a list of common commands, type help at the command prompt, and then press Enter."
You only need the cd command in these case.
If Blender runs try to activate the plugin and render. Switch back to Command and copy here the content of the window.
And. Try to describe step by step what you do how you try to activate plugin.

You do see two usernames and passwords?
1) for your standalone version of OctaneRender (wrong one)
2) for integrated plugin for Blender (Use this one)
@ megacal
It was that I was entering my octaneLive account password = (wrong)
(Even though I did try to reinstall the octane server, it was the wrong info I was entering)
as posted above, I had to enter my info for the integrated plugin for Blender.
You also have to be connected to the internet, it is only a 1 time gig to set it up, after you enter it and it is accepted, it will be blank, and you don't have to enter this info anymore.
To toggle blenders console...
Go to the top left toolbar under Window- click the "toggle system console"

When you log into your otoy user settings,to look for your OctaneLive account information,I've tried to enter my login and pass from my OctaneLive™ account many times, but it doesn't help

Could there be a check option to let the Stereo ignore the changes of the response type and other settings within the camera?
